Garden seed

This is placeholder content for the james.md prototype. Every note here is flagged publish: true, which is the only way anything reaches this site. The real garden grows from a separate, dedicated public vault, never from a private one.

Welcome to the garden. This is the slower, less polished layer of the platform: half formed thoughts, notes that link to each other, and ideas caught mid growth. The finished, argued version of a thing lives on the main site. This is where it starts.

How this place works

A garden is not a blog. There is no reverse chronological feed and nothing is ever really “done”. Notes link to other notes, and over time a shape emerges from the links rather than from a table of contents. Three ideas seed this prototype:

• The garden and the stream — why a garden and not a feed.
• Thinking in public — writing to find out what you think.
• Tools for thought — the toolchain underneath this garden.

Start anywhere. Follow the links. The first note is a reasonable door.

What to expect

Notes are dated by when they last changed, not when they were “published”, because they keep changing. If a note is useful before it is finished, that is the point.
